VIKING RescYou™ Ocean liferaft, 4-8 persons

The traditional liferaft for cruising and sport fishing on the open sea.

The VIKING RescYou™ Ocean is the traditional liferaft in VIKING’s yachting range. The large canopy opening and the highly visible special designed boarding ramp with weighted ladder provides swift and easy boarding.

The insulated double inflatable floor provides hypothermia protection and the two canopy openings offer an excellent view of the horizon plus cross ventilation. Large ballast bags keep the liferaft stable in the water, helping to prevent capsize in very heavy seas.

There are no compromises on safety when choosing a VIKING liferaft. The RescYou™ Ocean is ISO 9650-1 certified and meets ISAF requirements. Third party approval by DNV.

Available in sizes: 4, 6 or 8 persons.

Comes in a container or a valise.

The liferaft is naturally both ISO9650-1 Group A certified, ISAF approved and third party verified by DNV.

As a standard, delivered with an ISO II emergency pack. For larger sizes see the variants. Liferafts can also be delivered with SOLAS B (primarily for Spain) or E-pack (for the US).

Key features:

  • Fluorescent yellow canopy enhances visibility from a distance
  • Two separate buoyancy chambers each capable of supporting maximum capacity
  • Four 55 liter weighted ballast bags for stability in heavy seas
  • SOLAS high-visibility retro-reflective tape on canopy, sides buoyancy chambers and under the liferaft
  • Automatic SOLAS/USCG exterior strobe light and interior light
  • Internal and external lifelines
  • Rain water collector
  • Base material of strong, yet flexible, natural rubber.

Liferafts are shipped via HazMat ground carrier.  Liferafts that weigh under 70 lbs (with packaging) will typically ship via UPS or FedEx ground service.  Rafts weighing over 70 lbs must be shipped via LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight truck (tractor-trailer) due to hazardous shipping regulations.  Shipping rates for LTL freight vary greatly between residential and commercial addresses, so it's very important that you select your correct address type at checkout.  An eligible commercial address will either have a loading dock or forklift on site to unload the shipment when it arrives.  If your address does not have a loading dock or forklift, you MUST select residential delivery.  When residential delivery is selected, the trucking company will be prepared to unload the shipment at a non-commercial location (such as your house) and will normally send a truck with a liftgate for unloading.  Liferafts that ship via freight truck will be packaged in a large box and strapped to a wooden pallet.

We take it personally: We truly do take it personally if you're not 100% satisfied with your experience.  We want to earn your business, not just for today, but for many years to come.  We understand the power of good relationships and the trust that can only be created from following through on the big and little things alike.  We're still human and we make mistakes, but it's how we handle them that makes us different.
