We stock thousands of items at our facility in York, Maine, and we have direct access to our manufacturers' distribution facilities across the country. We work hard to keep the most popular life raft models in stock in our own warehouse, ready to ship within 24 hours. Depending on your location and stock status, we may ship some items directly from the manufacturer.
Fast Shipping: Items that display a quantity with "Ready To Ship" are in stock in our warehouse. Orders placed for in-stock items are normally shipped the same day if ordered before 2:00 pm EST, otherwise they will be shipped the following day. Orders placed after 2:00 pm EST on Fridays will not ship until the following Monday. Items marked with "Avilable To Order" or "In Stock" will ship to you directly from the manufacturer. While we have great relationships and communication with our manufacturers, we have less control over the actual shipping and delivery dates when items ship direct. We will indicate any extended lead times on the product page, but please contact us if you're in a rush for an item, and we will work with you to provide the best solution.
Free Shipping: Some items are not eligible for free shipping unless otherwise noted, such as Liferafts, Flares, and Oversize Items. When an item is eligible for a free shipping option, we reserve the right to select the most economical carrier and service for your shipment. If you choose to upgrade to a faster, paid shipping method, we will ship via the method you select at checkout.
Liferafts are shipped via HazMat ground carrier. Liferafts that weigh under 70 lbs (with packaging) will typically ship via UPS or FedEx ground service. Rafts weighing over 70 lbs must be shipped via LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight truck (tractor-trailer) due to hazardous shipping regulations. Shipping rates for LTL freight vary greatly between residential and commercial addresses, so it's very important that you select your correct address type at checkout. An eligible commercial address will either have a loading dock or forklift on site to unload the shipment when it arrives. If your address does not have a loading dock or forklift, you MUST select residential delivery. When residential delivery is selected, the trucking company will be prepared to unload the shipment at a non-commercial location (such as your house) and will normally send a truck with a liftgate for unloading. Liferafts that ship via freight truck will be packaged in a large box and strapped to a wooden pallet. Because of their HazMat designation, a signature is required for all liferaft deliveries.
PLB/EPIRB Battery Replacement Service: Round trip USPS Priority shipping is INCLUDED with every battery replacement service. After completing checkout, you will have access to print a pre-paid USPS shipping label to send your device to us for service. You will also receive a confirmation email with a link to print your label, or you can log in to "My Account" at the bottom of the page to access your label and check your order status. Please get in touch with us if USPS isn't available at your location, and we will select a different carrier.
Flares & Pyrotechnics are only shipped via standard ground service due to their hazardous classification. Shipping for these items is generally more expensive than standard ground. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay, and there will be no additional fees.
All other products will be shipped to residential or commercial addresses via your selected carrier and shipping method (if applicable).
