Answers…

  1. How can I contact you?

Click on the Contact Us link in the Customer Service menu.

  2. Can you ship my order to an international destination?

No, we only ship to US addresses. We can ship to a freight forwarder in the US, but remember that many of our products are intended specifically for the US market and USCG regulations.

  3. Do I need a USCG-approved life raft?

You only need to carry a USCG-approved liferaft onboard your vessel if you are engaged in certain commercial activities, such as commercial fishing or accepting passengers for hire. If you are not operating a commercial vessel, an ISO-approved or recreational liferaft might be a better choice.

  4. I want to be legal for commercial fishing. What do I need?

You've come to the right place. We specialize in outfitting boats to meet USCG safety gear requirements for commercial fishing. Many variables will determine the exact equipment you need, so we encourage you to contact us for a customized solution.

  5. How do I inflate my life raft?

All of the liferafts we sell at SurvivalAtSea.com are self-inflating with the simple pull of an activation cord called a "painter line." Regardless of the exact brand or model, most liferafts operate by pulling on the painter line until the raft bursts from its container or valise. Removing the raft from its container or valise before inflating is unnecessary and could prevent it from deploying correctly.

  6. Should I cut the plastic bands on my new liferaft container?

No! The bands that you see wrapped around the liferaft are there to keep the container closed tightly and are designed to break off during inflation. You should either see a label that says "Do Not Cut" or a graphic of scissors behind an 'X' indicating not to cut the straps.

  7. Can I return or exchange my new life raft?

Unfortunately, we do not accept returns or exchanges on liferafts. Several factors make returning a life raft very difficult and expensive. For complete details, please see our return policy here

  8. When can I use my Loyal rewards points?

Loyal rewards points are credited to your account 30 days after your order has been shipped. The 30-day waiting period aligns with the return window on most of our products.
